Real-time Deep Video Deinterlacing

چکیده
Fig. 1. (a) Input interlaced frames. (b) Deinterlaced results generated by SRCNN [4] re-trained with our dataset. (c) Blown-ups from (b) and (d) respectively. (d) Deinterlaced results generated by our method. The classical super-resolution method SRCNN reconstruct each frame based on a single field and has large information loss. It also follows the conventional translation-invariant assumption which does not hold for the deinterlacing problem. Therefore, it inevitably generates blurry edges and artifacts, especially around sharp boundaries. In contrast, our method can circumvent this issue and reconstruct frames with higher visual quality and reconstruction accuracy.

Motion Adaptive Video Deinterlacing Using One Dimensional Fuzzy FIR Filters
This paper proposes a new fuzzy motion adaptive video deinterlacer. It is based on an orthogonal decomposition of the corresponding fuzzy motion detector into two main modules: a linear spatio-temporal lowpass filter described by two separable 1D FIR filters and two fuzzy modules described by two piecewise-linear saturation functions. The involved fuzzy system has been implemented in real time ...
متن کاملHigh Quality deinterlacing using Inpainting and shutter-Model Directed Temporal interpolation
The proposed deinterlacing scheme is aimed towards high-quality progressive image output, typically for a videotape-to-film blow-up operation. This operation consists in increasing the resolution of video images, recording these images on 16mm or 35mm film and reducing the typical video artefacts (due to interlaced scanning, electronic noise), eventually adding some film-look features (color co...
متن کاملHigh Quality Video on MultiMedia PCs
Displaying broadcast video on a MultiMedia PC, implies the use of video format conversion (VFC) techniques, as computer displays and television receivers use quite distinct scanning rasters. VFC consists of spatial scaling, deinterlacing and picture rate conversion. Although scaling is rather straightforward, the other two tasks are far from trivial, and advanced motion compensated interpolatio...
متن کاملInvertible deinterlacing with variable coefficients and its lifting implementation
Invertible deinterlacing with variable coefficients is proposed to suppress comb-tooth artifacts caused by field interleaving of interlaced scanning video. A vertical highpass filter is applied to detect moving artifacts around boundaries of moving objects. The coefficients of a deinterlacing filter is varied depending on the motion intensity so that the deinterlacing filter may be matched tu t...
متن کاملEfficient implementation of neural network deinterlacing
Interlaced scanning has been widely used in most broadcasting systems. However, there are some undesirable artifacts such as jagged patterns, flickering, and line twitters. Moreover, most recent TV monitors utilize flat panel display technologies such as LCD or PDP monitors and these monitors require progressive formats. Consequently, the conversion of interlaced video into progressive video is...
